After School Tutoring
Dear
Parents,
Would
you like your child to have extra help in reading and/or math? This another reminder that this year
Highgate Elementary School can help your child receive that extra help after
school at no cost to you. Your child may be eligible. An application for Free
and Reduced Lunch can be completed before we can determine if you are eligible.
Even if you are not sure whether you might qualify for free or reduced lunches,
it is a good idea to fill out the hot lunch form. If you don’t want to fill out the hot lunch form, you can
provide us with other proof that you would qualify.
If
you want the free tutoring for your child, you get to choose the program that
you think will work best for your child from the list of State approved
providers attached to this letter. However, the Franklin Northwest Supervisory
Union is now an approved provider, and some local teachers are working in the
program. This means the tutoring can be done here at our school. For older students involved in
Crossroads, we’ll be able to provide a bus ride home. Younger students will
need a ride from you in order to be part of the tutoring. Still, if you want to choose any of the
other providers on the list, you can do that. There is a limit on the total amount of tutoring we can
provide for each student during the school year and summer.
Are
you interested? If you are, please return the attached form or request a Free
and Reduced Lunch form by calling the school at 868-4170. We can help you
register and assist you with the arrangement for the tutoring.
Sincerely,
Madeline
